Understand refunds, chargebacks, and net revenue#

Revenue can change after the original purchase. Refunds and chargebacks reduce the amount you actually kept.

Gross revenue#

Gross revenue is the purchase amount before refunds and chargebacks.

Refunds#

Refunds reduce revenue because money was returned to the customer.

If Tebex webhooks are connected, Joinometry can update purchases when Tebex sends refund events.

Chargebacks and disputes#

A dispute can later be won, lost, or closed. A lost dispute usually reduces revenue because the payment was reversed.

Net revenue#

Net revenue is the amount left after refunds and chargebacks.

When you judge campaigns, use net revenue whenever possible. It gives a more honest view of whether a campaign brought players who kept their purchases.
