Install the plugin and confirm heartbeats#
A heartbeat tells you the plugin is installed, configured, and able to reach Joinometry.
Install the plugin#
- Open Servers.
- Select the server you want to connect.
- Download the Paper, Velocity, or BungeeCord plugin.
- Place the plugin file in the server's plugins folder.
- Restart the server once so the plugin can create its configuration file.
Add credentials#
On the server page, create or rotate credentials. Copy the API key and signing secret into the plugin configuration.
Credentials are shown once. If you did not save them, rotate credentials and use the new values.
Restart and check the server page#
Restart the server again after saving the configuration. Then return to Servers in Joinometry.
You should see a recent heartbeat, plugin version, and connected state.
If the heartbeat does not show up#
Check these first:
- the server was restarted after editing the config,
- the API key and signing secret were copied correctly,
- the server can make outbound HTTPS requests,
- the server time is reasonably accurate,
- the server is not archived in Joinometry,
- you are viewing the correct organization.
